Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal played a special knock that helped his team Rajasthan Royals win by nine wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens. The 21-year-old registered the fastest half-century in the history of the Indian Premier League and has now amassed 575 runs in 12 matches in the ongoing IPL 2023. On the other hand, flamboyant batter Suryakumar Yadav started the season slowly but is gaining momentum as the Mumbai-born cricketer smashed 103* runs off just 49 deliveries against Gujarat Titans on May 12.

Lauding these two cricketers, former India international Saba Karim took a dig at India skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the duo has been massively criticised for their strike rates recently. Even though Kohli is currently sixth in the IPL Orange Cap race, Karim stated that T20 cricket has "moved on" from the style of cricket Rohit or Kohli play.

“When one sees Jaiswal and SKY bat, it is amply clear that T20 game has moved on from Rohit sharma and Virat Kohli!! @anilkumble1074 @bhogleharsha,” Karim tweeted.

The Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has scored 220 runs in 12 matches in the ongoing season. Even though he has failed to live up to the expectations with the bat, his captaincy skill is still sharp. Under his leadership, Mumbai are currently third on the IPL points table and if they manage to keep up with the form, they can very well qualify for the IPL playoffs.

Coming to Kohli, the 34-year-old is one of the consistent performers in the RCB camp. He has hit 420 runs in 11 matches so far but even then, RCB are currently sixth on the points table. Kohli will be hoping to get better in order to help his team qualify for the playoffs again.
