Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will square off in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) match no 50 on May 6 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. DC are coming off a narrow win over defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) while RCB are coming off an impressive victory against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their previous encounter.

Ahead of the match against Capitals, RCB batter Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma uploaded a photo of their day out in New Delhi. The former India skipper has recently been at the centre of controversy following an on-field spat with LSG mentor and former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir following his team's win.

The 34-year-old batter took to Twitter and shared a picture of himself with Anushka and wrote, "Out and about in Delhi."

Kohli, Gambhir's verbal spat

The IPL 2023 match between LSG and RCB on May 1 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow was a drama-filled affair, with Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir clashing after the game.

During the match, Kohli also got into a few altercations with LSG and Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq. In addition, the argument heated up again when the bowler clashed with the RCB batter during the customary handshake. As a result, this incident drew in Gambhir as well. Following the match, Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees, while Naveen was fined 50% of his fees.

As per a report in The Indian Express, after the altercation, the Afghan pacer told one of his LSG teammates that he would not take any abuse on the field. In the aftermath of the controversy, the 23-year pacer also posted a cryptic social media post.

“You get what you deserve and that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes,” he shared on his Instagram story.
