[WATCH] Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma spotted at Delhi airport hours after Vrindavan visit
Virat Kohli announced his retirement news via Instagram on May 12.
Star India cricketer Virat Kohli visited Vrindavan with his wife Anushka Sharma to seek the blessings of spiritual guru Premanand Govind Sharajn Ji Maharaj on Tuesday, May 13. The couple was seen at the airport after their visit to Premanand's ashram in the religious city of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Hours after their visit to the place, the power couple was spotted heading towards home
The couple left the ashram and went to board the flight after their visit. This is not the first time the couple has visited Premanand Maharaj. Earlier this year, the couple with their children also visited the ashram after the disappointing defeat for India 1-3 Test series against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25.
Virat, who retired from Test cricket recently, scored 9,230 runs in 123 Tests at an average of 46.85 which included 30 centuries. He led the Indian team in 68 Tests by winning 40 of them and became the most successful captain in the red-ball format.
Reports: IPL 2025 final to be held in Ahmedabad
The run machine saw a dip in form in the 2020-2022 period of his Test career. In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, the legendary Test cricketer scored just 190 runs in the five games, which also included a century from the first match at Perth.
The Delhi-born cricketer will be seen in action in the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 which resumes on May 17 after a week-stop due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player is in tremendous form in the ongoing season, having scored 505 runs in 11 innings already. While Kohli is in the race to bag the Orange Cap for the season, RCB too are in top-form and just a win away from making it to the playoffs' which can help them lift their long-awaited maiden IPL trophy.
