WATCH: Mumbai Indians start training at Wankhede Stadium ahead of IPL 2025 resumption

The last two remaining matches for the Mumbai Indians (MI) will be played against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be back in action from May 17 after a one-week suspension, and some of the teams have already started preparing for their last remaining league games. One of the teams that has got back to training is Mumbai Indians (MI).

The Hardik Pandya-led side is currently standing fourth on the points table with seven wins and five losses in the 12 matches they have played. As seen in the latest video released by the IPL on social media, the team is training hard. The clip features some of the top MI players practising and grinding hard at the Wankhede Stadium.

There were glimpses of Tilak Varma and Rohit Sharma batting in the nets and star Kiwi player Mitchell Santner showing off his revolutions while releasing the ball. The players look ready to battle it out in the last two crucial games and keep the dream of the sixth title alive. Some of the other notable players in the clip are Satyanarayan Raju, Robin Minz, and Ashwani Kumar.

The last two fixtures of Mumbai Indians

The first fixture after the resumption for the MI franchise will be against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 21 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The last time the two teams had faced each other was on April 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. MI had won the last over thriller by a margin of 12 runs.

The last league game will be against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 26. This is officially the new base for the Punjab franchise since the venues of Dharamsala and Mohali have been ruled out due to the border issues. This will be the first time the two franchises will face each other this season.
