[WATCH] Tilak Varma, Jamie Overton share wholesome moment after heated tussle during last MI vs CSK clash
CSK vs MI is considered by many to be the biggest rivalry in the history of the IPL.
Tilak Varma and Jamie Overton shared a wholesome moment during the training session ahead of the Mumbai Indians' (MI) away game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday, April 2.
Both players had a heated argument on the field in the previous encounter played at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 23. During the 10th over of MI’s innings, Overton was prepared to bowl when his run-up was stopped by Varma, which did not go down well with the Englishman. When the two players came face-to-face at the non-striker’s end, they had a heated exchange of words, with Varma also seen making a frustrating gesture.
However, it seems like both players have put their differences aside ahead of their second meeting on Saturday. In a video shared on MI’s social media platforms, Varma was seen having a chat with former teammate Dewald Brevis, where he notices Overton in the distance. The left-handed batter shouted Overton’s name twice to get his attention before asking if everything was good, to which the England all-rounder shared a big smile and made a thumbs-up gesture.
