The 24th match of the T20 World Cup 2022 was full of drama as Zimbabwe upset Pakistan and handed the Babar Azam-led side their second consecutive defeat of the tournament. Pakistan was a part of yet another thriller as the game went down to the final delivery of the final over, but Zimbabwe maintained their calm and won the contest by the barest of margins.
Numerous people have praised Zimbabwe for its outstanding performance, while some have referred to it as "Mr. Bean vengeance." This did not start after Pakistan’s loss, the Mr. Bean jokes have been going on for a couple of days as the two teams geared up to face each other at the mega event.
The President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, was elated and overjoyed after the team’s win against Pakistan. While Pakistan have suffered two losses and are yet to open their account, Zimbabwe are still unbeaten as their first game was affected by rain and the points were shared, and they won their second game.
“What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons. Next time, send the real Mr Bean...#PakvsZim,” Mnangagwa tweeted.
But, the Pakistan Prime Minister did not hold himself back and shared a strong reply as he tweeted:
“We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit .. and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back:) Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today.”

President Emmerson made fun of Pakistani comedian Asif Muhammad, who is essentially Rowan Atkinson's doppelganger and acts as his famous character of Mr. Bean. Asif was invited to Zimbabwe in 2016 for performances. According to media reports, the Pakistani artist's comedy presentation was a complete failure. The concert cost $10 per ticket and offered minimal quality in and of itself. Despite being dubbed "Mr. Pak Bean," he didn't perform alone; rather, he joined other local musicians and put on a very poor show.
