Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a historic win against Delhi Capitals on Sunday to win the WPL 2024.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra suggested that skipper Smriti Mandhana should pay a visit to the RCB men's team camp ahead of the 2024 IPL season and give them a pep talk, just like Virat Kohli did for the women's side last year.

This proposal comes as RCB's men's team continues to seek their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title despite their popularity and star-studded lineup over 16 seasons.

'Virat Kohli has achieved a lot' - Smriti Mandhana

Following the victory, the star cricketer who returned to India post the birth of his second child made a video call to the women’s team and congratulated them on winning the WPL 2024 edition. Kohli was seen congratulating the whole team and was also seen dancing in happiness.

When Chopra cheekily asked if Mandhana would "return the favour" by visiting the men's team and giving them a pep-talk, the RCB skipper had a witty response. While initially laughing it off, Mandhana weighed in saying she had to be careful how she answered.

"Virat Kohli has achieved a lot. He's a legend of the game, he's won the World Cup and the Champions Trophy. I feel Franchisees cricket is a lot about luck, hopefully, this Cup has started the luck for RCB. You never know," said Mandhana in a chat with Jio Cinema.

The IPL 2024 will be RCB's 17th attempt at finally getting their hands on the elusive trophy. They have so far made to three finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016 but have fallen short each time. RCB also lost the 2011 Champions League T20 final to Mumbai Indians.
