Sourav Ganguly donates his pension to Ankit Keshari’s Family: Former India captain and the joint secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal Sourav Ganguly has decided to give away his BCCI pension for this year to the recently deceased Under-19 Bengal cricketer Ankit Keshri’s family. Apart from this, he has decided to spend his pensions to fund the treatment of injured players who are registered under the Cricket Association of Bengal.

Ganguly has said that it is personal decision to donate his BCCI pension to Keshari’s family and fund the injured players. He also said that Cricket Association of Bengal will be buying three ambulances for emergencies.

While speaking to the media, Ganguly said I have decided to give away my pension amount to Ankit’s family. It’s also my personal decision to fund the treatment of injured players, the ones that are CAB-registered. I will use the amount that I get as pension from the Board. The association will be buying three ambulances which will also have the necessary facilities.

As per BCCI’s pension scheme, Ganguly and other former Test cricketers will receive Rs 4,20,000 every year. CAB also have decided to donate Rs. 10 Lakhs to Keshari’s family. After CAB’s finance committee meeting, CAB treasurer Biswarup Dey said that We have proposed to give this amount to Ankit’s family. The matter has to be passed through the working committee.

Ankit Keshari was a former captain of Bengal under-19 side who unfortunately lost his life while fielding during a local league game in Kolkata. He was collided with a teammate and lost his life due to cardiac arrest.
