Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has come out in the open to state that he hasn’t made any fantasy team for the ongoing edition of the IPL. Ganguly took to Twitter to categorically say that the team which made the rounds on social media is fake.

According to the IPL Fantasy League Twitter handle, Sourav Ganguly had picked his dream XI amongst the players who were taking part in the 10th edition of the IPL. The IPL Fantasy League Twitter handle posted an image showing Ganguly’s dream team of the season so far. What raised many eyebrows was the fact that Mahendra Singh Dhoni did not feature in Ganguly’s XI for the IPL.

Be that as it may, Sourav Ganguly has come out in the open to clear the air. He set the records straight with a tweet which read, “Hi all ..just saw an ipl fantasy team on my name ..it’s not my twitter account nor my team ..it’s fake ..I dnt participate in fantsy leagues”

In the image uploaded by the IPL Fantasy League, Ganguly had chosen the following eleven players: Virat Kohli (RCB), Gautam Gambhir (KKR), Steve Smith (RPS), AB de Villiers (RCB), Nitish Rana (MI), Manish Pandey (KKR), Rishabh Pant (DD), Sunil Narine (KKR), Amit Mishra (DD), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH) and Chris Morris (DD).

For obvious reasons, MS Dhoni was the biggest name missing from the side. His absence only went on to reinforce Dada’s comment on MSD where he said that Dhoni isn’t a force to reckon with anymore when it comes to T20s.

Sourav Ganguly had earlier said, “I am not too sure if MS Dhoni is a good T20 player. He is a champion ODI player but when it comes to Twenty20 cricket, in 10 years, he has got one fifty and that’s not the best record.”
