Sourav Ganguly spills the beans on who will win the England vs India series

India and England will soon be locking horns in 3 T20 Internationals starting from July 3 which will be followed by the same number of ODIs. But the five-match Test series will be a stern test for Team India as they have always been found wanting in the demanding conditions. They had lost the series 3-1 in 2014 and many believe it will be no different this time around. However, the former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has spilt the beans on the upcoming series and has predicted the winner of the much-awaited tussle.

Virat Kohli has been leading the side really well as the team has scaled greater heights away from home in the recent times. Though they lost the hard-fought series against South Africa, many hailed the team the way they showed the character to come back and win the last match on a pitch which was almost deemed unfit to play by the umpires. But the upcoming England tour will define them and it will be a historic occasion if they manage to thump the hosts.

Who is Dada backing?

Sourav Ganguly is extremely confident about Team India doing well in the upcoming series against England in challenging conditions. He believed that India are the overwhelming favourites to win across all the formats if they are able to replicate the show they put on in the rainbow nation.

“I’m very hopeful that India will win in England. The way they have played the ODI series in South Africa, if they are able to hold back the momentum, they will absolutely win,” he was quoted as saying by News 18. Recently, Pakistan drew the two-match Test series 1-1 against England which is a commendable performance. But the 45-year-old feels that India is a much better side than their arch-rivals and will come out on top when the two sides will lock horns.

“India are a far better side than Pakistan. India will have better chances of winning the series,” Ganguly concluded by backing Kohli and his men to easily clinch the series.
