Sri Lanka drew South Africa 1-1(3) in Sri Lanka, 1993: After the first-ever match in a bilateral series between the two sides got washed out halfway, the Proteas thrashed the Lankans by 124 runs in the second match in Colombo to take a 1-0 lead. The home side then drew level in the third game, winning it by 44 runs. Arjuna Ranatunga was the captain of the Sri Lankan side while Kepler Wessels led the South Africans.
