Preview:

The top two teams Salt Pond Breakers and Botanical Gardens Rangers will go head to head in the 1st Eliminator of the Vincy Premier League on Friday. In their last two meetings, both teams have won against each other, so it’s going to be an interesting battle. The Salt Pond Breakers being finished as table toppers will start as favorites in the 1st Eliminator.

However, their last two victories weren’t convincing against Botanical Gardens Rangers and La Soufriere Hikers. Apart from Sunil Ambris and Ryan John none of the other batters haven’t scored big runs, so it will test their character for sure in this match. Jeremy Layne and Delorn Johnson are the pick of the bowlers for SPB and have 10 and 9 wickets respectively to their name.

On the other hand, Botanical Gardens Rangers have finished 2nd in the table with 11 points. They started the tournament on an excellent note by winning 3 consecutive matches, their fourth match got abandoned against FCS, later in the 5th and 6th match where they came out on top again by beating GRD and SPB respectively.

But in their last two matches, they didn’t play up to the mark and lost the matches which made them push down to the 2nd spot. Hyron Shallow, Emmanuel Stewart, and Keron Cottoy are the main batting pillars for BGR upfront, whereas Kimali Williams has been picking wickets in every match. It’s going to be an exciting match as two strong teams take on each other.
