If anyone is following the Twitter handle @sreesanth36, the person must have known by now that the Kerala High Court has reinstalled the life ban on the Kerala-born pacer S Sreesanth, after Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s appeal against the previous verdict, where the HC had lifted the ban. Following the incident, the 34-year old has expressed his views on the decision on Twitter.

Such a decision was expected to split the public in two halves – one which supports the ban and the other which doesn’t. In this case, it appears as if the latter half is the stronger. The general reaction from the cricket maniacs is that they are baffled by the hypocrisy of the BCCI. While at one hand the board is imposing a life ban on the pacer, they are allowing corruption-stricken teams like Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals to feature in the Indian Premier League again.

Hence, the standpoint of the people is clear. They haven’t forgotten the man who took the all important catch of Misbah-ul-Haq to declare India as the champions of the inaugural ICC World T20 2007. They want to see the 140kmph cannons again, and hence are bashing the board for their harsh stand in this case.

Here are some tweets

This lady went on to the extent of calling BCCI a “terrorist group”.

BCCI’s soft-hearted stand in CSK and RR’s case is surely tarnishing their image.

People have started asking questions to BCCI.

Well then, this claim from Manu Prathap is surely a big one.

Looks like the previous person is not the only one who feels former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is involved in this saga, someway or the other.

Some are still hopeful about the comeback of Sree in the Indian team.

Many are accusing BCCI of being “heartless”.

Shall the legends like Tendulkar and Dravid express their views regarding this matter?
