Sri Lanka v West Indies 2nd Test, day 4 review: Unrelenting rain washes out fourth day: Persistent rain washed out the fourth day of the 2nd and final Test match at the P Sara Oval. The overnight showers and drizzle, that delayed the start of play today, did not stop until late afternoon and caused the outfield to be soggy. The supper soppers tried to get the ground ready however lot of water had gathered underneath which forced the umpires to abandon the fourth day at 3 pm local time.
Play will start early on the final day, weather permitting, and the West Indies will be hoping for some bright sun shine to level the series. The morning session is scheduled to start at 9.45 am tomorrow.
