Team India registered an emphatic turnaround win over the Australian side in the Bengaluru Test. The cricket world erupted in congratulating the Virat Kohli-led side for their dramatic turn of events on day 4. Former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara was no exception either. Sangakkara, who continues to play T20 leagues around the world, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to hail the fight back shown by Virat Kohli and his team India. He praised the performance as ‘great fight back’ and also noted one of the key aspects of any team building principle.
Sanga rightly cited that it is indeed very fruitful to see how the captain has been able to instill the sense of fightback and continue to inspire his team in all the situations. Kumar Sangakkara was certainly happy with the leadership skills of Virat Kohli. This is not the first time that the veteran Sri Lankan has come out in praise of the Indian captain. In his tweet, Kumar Sangakkara wrote, “Great fight back by the Indian side @imVkohli seems to be able to inspire his team to give their all in any situation.”

Talking about the match, nobody had given the Indian team a sniff in the match after a dramatic batting failure on day 1. Team India failed to put on a big score on day 1 after having won the toss. A mere 189 on the board looked below par in all sorts. However, the bowlers showed resilience on day 2 to contain the lead of the Australians to under 100.
Later, a gritty and gutsy 100 plus stand between Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane in the second innings powered India to a lead of 187 runs. The target of 188 was not daunting but having seen the nature of the pitch, it was going to bee tough. A six-wicket haul from India’s premier bowler R Ashwin bundled out Australia for 112 in the run chase and India capped off a 75 run win.
