Stuart Broad attends Yuvraj Singh's pre-wedding ceremony

Among all the high profile cricketers who visited Yuvraj Singh’s pre-wedding bash, it was perhaps England fast bowler Stuart Broad, who made every media professional turn their heads. Broad set up a perfect example of not letting ‘on-field’ matters come into the personal frame when he decided to turn up for Yuvraj’s ‘Sangeet’ ceremony.

The wedding reception took place in Chandigarh and the entire Indian team, who were in Mohali for the Third test, made sure that made themselves present at the special event. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to wish the Indian batsman on his wedding. The BCCI also posted a photograph of Yuvraj Singh with the players of team India at the reception venue in Chandigarh. It is all smiles for the men in the picture.

Cricket fans in India remember and would only want to remember Broad for the hammering he received at the hands of Yuvraj Singh way back in 2007. playing in Kingsmead, Yuvi etched his name into the record books by hitting six consecutive sixes off Broad during the India-England match of the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa. It was the fourth time in the history of cricket but the first occasion in T20 when a batsman had hit six sixes in an over.

Yuvraj Singh is currently out of the national setup and looking for a comeback. He recently featured for his state side Punjab and looked in great form, scoring 672 in 5 matches at an outstanding average of 84 before taking a break for the marriage.
