With the advent of social media, discussions, and arguments on various social media platforms are common. Social media presents people with the power to pass comments, and especially when a famous person is involved, there are so many opinions that are bound to come his way.

In the first Test at Nottingham, India seemed to be on top of England for a majority of the Test match, but rain played spoilsport and the match ended in a draw. In the second Test match at Lord’s too, the Indian batsmen decimated the England bowling attack, and India ended Day One with their scorecard reading 276/3.

A fan took to Twitter and stated that the England cricket team is dependent on the weather. And, this comment caught England pacer Stuart Broad’s eye, and he decided to give a reply to the fan. Broad tweeted that England has won three home series in 2011, 2014, and 2018 against India recently. He cheekily tweeted that the England side must have indeed got extremely lucky with the weather on all those occasions.

Injury rules out Stuart Broad from remainder of Test series against India

A calf injury meant that Stuart Broad will be side-lined for the remainder of the five-match Test series against the Virat Kohli-led Indian side. And, Broad took to Instagram to reveal more about his injury.

The right-arm pacer stated that he jumped a hurdle, landed awkwardly on his right ankle and he felt as if he had been whipped on his leg. He also stated that while his run in the Test series against India is over, he is looking forward to The Ashes series against Australia. Broad concluded by stating that he will be watching every ball of the Test series between England and India from his sofa.

“Things can change so quickly. During the warm-up, I jumped a hurdle, landed a bit awkwardly on my right ankle, then the next step felt like I’d been whipped by a rope as hard as you can imagine on the back of my leg. All so innocuous.

Season over and gutted to miss this India Test series but a huge focus on Australia now. Going to take my time, no rush, baby steps, and be the fittest I can be heading out there. I’ll be watching every ball from my sofa hoping to see runs and wickets in the glorious Lord’s sunshine,” stated Broad on Instagram.
