Sunil Chhetri posts a cheeky message for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on Twitter

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma hosted a grand reception, the second of the two, in Mumbai on Tuesday at St. Regis in Lower Parel. The event lived up to its expectations as the eminent personalities in cricket and Bollywood graced their presence to wish the lovely couple. Even the captain of the Indian football team Sunil Chhetri was also invited to the reception and he didn’t disappoint his friend in cricket. However, he posted a quirky message after the event and trolled Virat Kohli alongside himself as well.

Sunil Chhetri is one of the best, if not, the best football player in the country currently and is the proud captain of the team which is taking giant strides at the international level. Even Kohli, since taking over the reins of Indian cricket, has set new standards and has led from the front. The performances of the respective Indian teams under these two sportsmen has gone to a different level and the fans would hope that they play for a long time in their careers and make India the number 1 team in the format.

Chhetri’s message

The wedding season among the Indian cricketers is not finishing anytime soon as Virat Kohli was the third Indian cricketer to get married as Krunal Pandya will also get hitched soon on Wednesday. Even Sunil Chhetri got married last month to the love of his life Sonam and attended the reception with her. They clicked a gorgeous picture with the newlywed couple and had a gala time at the reception. However, Sunil took his time out to post the same image on social media website Instagram and captioned it with a trolling message for Virat and himself.

His message read, “There are two captains in this picture. The other two play cricket and football to earn a living. Luck and love for what I’m sure will be a fantastic journey.” In this message, he completely negated the fact they represent their country at the highest level and cheekily pointed to their wives as the captains of their life forever.
