Suresh Raina off to Bangalore for an evaluation with his eyes set on a national comeback

Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been going through hardcore workout and practice sessions in recent times. With his eyes set on a national comeback after falling out of favor from the team, Raina hopes to make a return soon. Though the left handed genius had a successful IPL season this year with the bat, his team Gujarat Lions found themselves toiling at the bottom after the completion of the league stages.

Following the campaign he missed out on a berth in the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy. With his age not on his side, the Uttar Pradesh born cricketer has been sweating it out at the field and the gym in order to take back his lost position. After a long period of immense hard work the cricketer is finally off to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for an evaluation of his progress.

Raina took to Twitter to share a picture of himself at the airport, all set for his journey to Bangalore. The 30 year old looked dapper in his rugged look which was paired with a maroon tee and ripped jeans. To add on to his good looks wore a sun glass which made him look perfect. Raina mentioned that he is looking forward to the evaluation and is hoping for the best.

The tweet read “After months of hard work it’s time for an evaluation. Off to NCA! Looking forward.”

Though Raina has been in the reckoning for the T20 format, his last Test and One Day international was two years back. Raina played his last T20 in Febrbuary this year against England. As far as the Tests and ODIs are concerned he last wore the Indian jersey in the year of 2015. With the Indian team performing exceptionally well in all formats, it will be hard for Raina to break into the scene once again but the cricketer certainly has the talent to do so.
