Suresh Raina took to Twitter to wish Suriya on his 43rd Birthday

After a decent tour to England this summer, India’s prolific batting all-rounder Suresh Raina seems to be enjoying a bit of holiday before getting back into the action. Having been associated with the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings since its inception, Raina has been regarded as a familiar face in Chennai.

He along with some regular stars of CSK spend two months in a year in Chennai playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) which eventually has helped him to know and be associated with some of the best actors the Tamil-Nadu state has produced.

With Suriya celebrating his 43rd birthday, Suresh Raina took to Twitter to wish the actor who seems to fit in almost every role and does the same with perfection. The 31-year-old wrote, “Wishing you a very happy birthday @Suriya_offl ! Here is to a fantastic journey with many more entertaining and successful years ahead! #HappyBirthdaySuriya”

The stint from 2002-2005 was revelatory for Suriya and also for the Tamil spectators as they had found an actor who seemed he could do anything. From being the angry, loyal young man in Mounam Pesiyadhe, Suriya shifted to being the sophisticated cop in Kaakha Kaakha.

And, then it was the easy-to-like con-man in Pithamagan, followed by a hunchback in Perazhagan and a revolutionary student leader in Aayutha Ezhuthu. He has been able to prove that he is one of the most versatile actors which cinema has ever produced and the audience has ever witnessed.

Suresh Raina will look to put his case forward once again

On the other hand, Raina will look to once again make a mark in the domestic circuit and will have to prove his stature to be back in the Indian colours. Having said that, the competition is at its peak at the moment and Indian cricket probably has two to three options for every slot available. On a holistic view, it is a problem of plenty and every player is giving his best to stay in the mix.
