Mohammad Amir, the controversial Pakistan pacer, also had his moments on Eid and he enjoyed it with his wife Narjis Khatun and daughter. After Amir was back the couple had their nikah ceremony in Lahore again in 2016.

Amir’s topsy-turvy career

The cricketer’s career was tarnished when he was caught in the crime of spot-fixing at the Lord’s in England. Subsequently, he was slapped with a suspension of five years along with fellow speedster Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt, the then Pakistan captain.

He made his comeback in the 2016 Asia Cup versus India. In his comeback bid, the left-arm pacer ripped apart the star-studded batting lineup with a fiery top order. However, after that, he hasn’t quite been able to live up to the promise he showed when he was younger. The 26-year-old pacer recently represented the nation in a two-match T20I series in Scotland.

Pakistan won the series, but Amir didn’t have an auspicious outing. He was taken apart for quite a few runs in the opening match. The left-armer snapped the wicket of Dylan Budge but conceded 45 runs in his four overs. In the second match, he was sidelined. Here on, he needs to work really hard to keep his place in a side where a lot of young and promising pacers are pushing for a place among the top XI.
