In the last few weeks, there has been endless debate about the future of MS Dhoni. The former Indian captain was expected to hang his boots after the conclusion of the World Cup 2019. However, he chose otherwise which has led to a lot of discussions. While MS Dhoni hasn’t played an international game since the conclusion of the mega-event, his future plans have confused the fans quite a bit. Now, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput also shared his opinion about the retirement of MS Dhoni.

The Ranchi cricketer will not be playing any international cricket for a while now as he has decided to take a finite break. However, whether he will come back and give it one last shot is an uncertainty. Sushant, who played MS Dhoni in his biopic, hailed the batsman recently. He said that it should be left completely up to the legendary cricketer to make a call.

No one better than MS Dhoni to take the call on retirement

Sushant Singh Rajput said that MS Dhoni will make the call at the right time. While showering him with praises, Sushant said that the 38-year-old has every leadership quality. He also told that he is a huge fan of the cricketer.

“When we read a book on leadership qualities, he has all of them. So, when a person like him who has served India for such a long time, I believe he is the best person to make this decision (to retire), no one else.”

The Bollywood actor said that it is difficult to judge someone when you look at them from a fan’s eyes. However, he said that MS Dhoni is the best wicket-keeper batsman ever according to him.

“When you look at someone from a fan’s eyes, then you can’t judge them. For me, he is the best wicketkeeper-batsman ever,” said Sushant Singh Rajput at India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2019. Sushant Singh Rajput also revealed that he enjoys the India-Pakistan matches. He said he doesn’t do anything a day before this game.

“When I was in school, I used to memorise the holiday calender before the session began. I do the same about when India is going to play the matches, especially the ones between India and Pakistan. I don’t do anything a day before the match. We have always won, why will we lose it this time?”
