Raiphi Vincent Gomez late blitz keep Kerala in contention

The Baroda-Kerala match was an exciting encounter. Kerala were nearly out of the game when they had required 40 runs off 18 balls. However, RV Gomez’s (47 from 21 balls) striking abilities stole the show and helped Kerala chase the target with two balls to spare. Kerala after a bad start and struggled to keep the required run rate in check. Earlier, Baroda had put up a target of 161 being put into bat with the help of some late aggression from Irfan Pathan (35 from 18 balls) and Deepak Hooda (32 from 16 balls).

Nitish Rana leads Delhi to win after initial scare

Jharkhand batsmen performed ordinarily today and could only score 134/7 in 20 overs after batting first. Virat Singh (45 from 44 balls) and Ishank Jaggi (42 from 29 balls) were the only significant individual performers for Jharkhand. In reply, Delhi were rocked by Varun Aaron (3/26) and Vikash (1/28) who provided early breakthroughs in the form of Unmukt Chand, Gautham Gambhir and Subodh Bhati. However, Dhruv Shorey (30 from 26 balls) and Nitish Rana (60 from 44 balls) clobbered the Jharkhand bowlers and ensured that their team is safely home.

Gujarat taste defeat at the hands of Uttar Pradesh

Gujarat did not have a great start as they lost both their openers within the first three over of the match. However, the middle order led by MC Juneja (54 from 40 balls) and Chirag Gandhi (41 from 30 balls) took their team to 165/6 after 20 overs. In reply, opener Samarth Singh (65* from 47 balls) batted till the end and saw his team through. Umang Sharma (38 from 24 balls) and Eklavya Dwivedi (33 from 23 balls) also helped the chase with their contributions.

Mumbai chase down a daunting target

Earlier, Vidarbha batsmen hammered Mumbai bowlers to all corners to post an imposing total of 181/4 after 20 overs. After losing Fazal off just the second delivery of the match, JM Sharma (56 from 30 balls) and G Satish (25 from 21 balls) took control and stabilized Vidarbha. Mumbai also had a similar start after they lost Akhil Herwadkar in the first over. However, Shreyas Iyer (86 from 51) and in-form Aditya Tare (41 from 24 balls) didn’t give any further chances to Vidarbha bowlers and helped Mumbai pocket the match by 5 wickets.
