Starting Monday, it would be the cross-group clashes in the T10 Leagues where the teams would be looking to reign supreme. In the second match of the day, the third team from Group A and the fourth team from Group B will battle it out against each other. That is, it would be Kerala Knights vs Punjabi Legends.

Both these teams have won one game each in the first round of the tournament. The previous match was a washout for the Knights and hence they finished with three points. They lost the match before that against the Sindhis. Punjabi Legends were highly disappointing in both their previous two games and faced major embarrassments. Consequently, both these teams are desperate for a win under their belt and it should be a good contest to watch.

Pitch and Conditions

The Sharjah pitch has time and again proved that it is a wonderful deck to bat on. The batsmen can swing through the line of the ball but will have to be wary of the variations. Just like Sunday, there is some rain prediction for early parts of the day. The fans would keep their fingers crossed and will hope it is a full game.

It was a terrible show from the top six batsmen in the game against the Sindhis. The case would have been even worse if it was not for Wayne Parnell with the bat. The Knights will want to rectify these mistakes soon and deliver with the bat. Sandeep Lamichhane will hold the key in the bowling attack with his two critical overs.

It is high time that the Punjabi Legends’ batsmen begin to deliver. They seem to throw away the good starts and hardly give anything for their good-quality bowling lineup to defend. The openers, Luke Ronchi and Evin Lewis will have to take the responsibility upon themselves to provide good starts and not play any foolish strokes. Praveen Kumar might get a game in place of Mohammad Sami.
