The second season of the T10 League got off to scintillating start. Mohammad Shahzad blasted his way through to a 12-ball half-century in the first game. Sindhis were at the receiving end of the assault and they have got no time to recover from it as the defending champions Kerala Knights challenge them in the fourth match of the tournament.

Shane Watson literally looked helpless as his bowlers conceded 96 runs in four overs. This time around, he will be hoping for his troops to fare in a better way. In the batting department as well, none of them apart from the skipper managed to cross the double figures and against the strong Knights, they will need a complete performance.

Eoin Morgan, on the other hand, won’t have much to worry as they delivered a thumping show. They began their title defence in style by gunning down the total of 110 runs by Pakhtoons. They will be high on confidence in this game as well and would love to continue in the same vein as the competition moves fast. Momentum will be crucial for the teams in such a small tournament and Knights will be keen on carrying on their winning spree.

Pitch and Conditions

The first day proved to be a belter for the batsmen. This is still early days in the season and expect another graveyard for the bowlers. As far as the temperature is concerned, it will hover around 25-27 Degrees Celsius and for a change, a breeze will be blowing across the Stadium which will make the players feel better.

Sindhis will guard against making a plethora of changes as the cricketers played in the first game would’ve got hold of the conditions. They have experienced Pravin Tambe in the reserves and he might get a game in place of one of the spinners today. The rest of the line-up will most probably remain the same with the onus on Shane Watson and Anton Devcich with Dawid Malan, Ben Cutting and Thisara Perera to follow.

The bowling attack was taken apart by Shahzad and will be low on confidence. They will be keen on improving in this game and help their side.

Kerala Knights

Kerala Knights have no reason to change the winning combination. Paul Stirling who struggled throughout the Afghanistan Premier League (APL), began his season in style in this league and will open along with Chris Gayle with the likes of Morgan and Kieron Pollard to follow. Their bowling is also exceptional with Sandeep Lamichhane leading the spin bowling attack.

Mohammad Naveed, Wayne Parnell and Tom Curran are the pace bowlers and are very hard to get away with even in this short format.
