England these days is providing great batting tracks for all kinds of cricket and that was clearly visible in the last few days of the T20 Blast. Some high scores were chased down in different games across the North and South divisions, which did provide a lot of entertainment for the English cricket lovers.

One of the most dramatic and entertaining fixtures of the day took place in Taunton between Somerset and Surrey. Batting first, Surrey put up a daunting 203 run total on board with skipper Aaron Finch scoring a brilliant 72. Tom Banton and Edward Byrom scored half-centuries to propel Somerset to an 8-wicket win with 8 balls remaining, making a mockery of the huge target.

Tom Westley has been in great form off-late and continued to pile on some important runs for Essex on Friday. His 54-ball 86 helped the side put up 206 runs on the board batting first, with Daniel Lawrence chipping in with a fifty as well. Ryan Higgins and James Taylor tried their best towards the end, but Gloucestershire fell 25 runs short of their target.

Hampshire win two games in two days

After James Vince played a captain’s knock to defeat Essex the other day, Hampshire registered two wins in two days defeating Glamorgan in a low-scoring encounter. Hampshire crawled their way to a 128-run total losing 7 wickets. Liam Dawson and Mason Crane once again starred for Vince and company with the ball as they bowled out Glamorgan for 87 runs.

Joshua Cobb smashed a brilliant 50-ball 84 with good support coming from Adam Rossington as Northamptonshire piled up 180 runs batting first. The target looked a bit too meagre for Derbyshire, who with the help of the fifties from Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen, chased the total down in just 18 overs.
