In what can be called a do-or-die encounter, West Indies will meet Bangladesh in their upcoming fixture. The encounter takes place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday (October 29). Both teams are coming off two successive defeats and one more loss can their end their chances of qualifying for T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals. While defending champions West Indies haven’t lived up to the expectations, the Bangla Tigers have many loopholes in their ship.

Speaking of the defending champions, the Kieron Pollard-led side kick-started their campaign in a terrible manner, getting bundled out for 55 against England. They subsequently lost the game by six wickets. While they put up a better batting show against South Africa, their bowlers couldn’t defend 143. The Caribbean team might be studded with numerous match-winners. However, they need to perform as a unit to thrive.

As far as Bangladesh are concerned, they would have been confident after posting 171/4 against Sri Lanka. However, their bowlers couldn’t defend the total. Bangladesh’s previous outing against England was even more dismal. They posted mere 124/9 while batting first and allowed the Three Lions to cross the line in 14.1 overs. Hence, it would be interesting to see how they perform against the Men in Maroon.

Meanwhile, let’s look at important stats and numbers ahead of the 23rd game of the T20 World Cup 2021:
