Team Pakistan is renowned to produce some quality fast bowlers over the decades in the world cricket. However, they have often missed out on producing batting sensations. Recently, Mohammad Arif, a young cricketer had created ripples in the local cricket in Pakistan. However, it was unfortunate to see the young lad miss out on a berth for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Mohammad Arif, the 18 year old left handed batsman, had played for the FATA team in the National T20 Cup. During one of the fixtures, he had shown his class with the bat and looked like a solid batsman. He displayed a vast variety of shots during his knock.
Well, it is only unfortunate that the PSL franchise owners have not picked Mohammad Arif in the PSL. Perhaps, they have missed a big trick here. He could have been a handy addition to the PSL roster. And if things would have been in the favor of the southpaw, then he could have surely escalated to the national setup as well. Over the years, Pakistan has produced some legends in the batting department though.
The likes of Inzamam ul Haq, Younis Khan, and Mohammad Yousuf have all been stalwarts of the game. But the selectors have been largely reserved when it comes to unearthing batting talents. The selection of Imam Ul Haq in the Sri Lanka series just showed that the Pakistani team should show more faith in the young batting talent in the country.
A video, as per the reports in brecorder.com, shows that Arif is a class act with the bat. He is seen attacking the opposition bowlers big time and taking the attack to the opposition. The video has already garnered over 6000 views on the social media and the fans are also commenting in the favor of the batsman.
