Team India is having a merry run in international cricket at the moment. They are currently having an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the ongoing 5-match ODI series against Australia. Prior to this home series, the team had tourwashed the Sri Lankan team last month. The whitewashed the islanders in all the three formats of the game.

This was preceded by a series win in West Indies as well. Needless to say, the form of Virat Kohli-led side has been dominating. Their most recent win against Australia in the Indore ODI has seen them escalate to the top of the ICC ODI rankings. This is the first time in the history of cricket when team India is ranked number one in both Tests and ODIs.

They would now hope to continue their dominion with wins in the final two ODIs against Australia. En route their flight to Bengaluru where the two sides will compete in the fourth ODI, the team received a mid-air surprise from the crew of Jet Airways. The flight attendants walked to the row where three young stars of the Indian team were sitting.

KL Rahul, Axar Patel, and the new found sensation Hardik Pandya were seated in the row. The air hostess walked to them and served them a pastry. The attendants also asked Hardik to cut the pastry. Meanwhile, KL Rahul remarked Hardik as the superstar of the team. Axar and KL also acted as if they would apply the cake on Hardik’s face.

Hardik obliged and cut the pastry. The official social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted the video of the entire scene. The video was uploaded on their official website bcci.tv, while the update was shared about the same on Twitter as well.
