The selection panel is likely to retain the same squad that was named for the one-off Test against Bangladesh. The team looks well settled and the bench strength is in fine touch too. There might be some selection conundrums over picking Amit Mishra or Kuldeep Yadav. Mishra was injured prior to the commencement of the Bangladesh Test and Yadav was roped in as the last moment replacement.

The availability and fitness of Mishra will have to be taken into consideration. There is no word on India’s premium pacer bowler Mohammad Shami either. Shami had injured himself in December last year during the Test series against England. He was subsequently left out from the limited overs series against England and then in the Test against Bangladesh. His fitness remains under dark clouds. Also, he recently lost his father and that might see him take a break too.
