Rohit Sharma features on this list for his excellent run in the Tests and T20I format. He was not a regular Test opener of the team and made his comeback into the Test squad only this year after a year’s caesura.

Apparently, 2021 is his best year as he had a good run across all the formats and has been handed over the limited-overs captaincy. Rohit has emerged as an integral opener of the Test squad and has become the highest run-scorer of the team and is the second-highest in Tests this year.

Hitman has featured in 11 Test matches this year and has hit 906 runs with an average of 47.68. In T20Is, he had a dumbfounding strike rate of 150.88 and has hit 424 runs in 11 matches. His achievements this year ended with nine international half-centuries and four centuries.
