Sreesanth, the Kerala-born pacer celebrated his 37th birthday on 6 February. He was poured with heartwarming wishes from his fans and cricketing fraternity on the occasion. Even Harbhajan Singh, the former Indian spinner also wished his dear friend that handed an opportunity for the netizens to give it a comical angle as they stormed social media with their hilarious comments.

37-year-old Sreesanth made his debut for Team India back in 2005 against Sri Lanka. He marked his arrival with some astonishing performances and was rated as one of the fastest bowlers at that time. The pacer player went onto become the strike bowler for Team India and was also a part of the T20 World Cup-winning squad in 2007.

In Sreesanth’s case, success and controversy go hand in hand due to his expressive nature on the field. He used to give quite an animated send-off to the batsmen after taking their wicket. On several occasions, he had received a warning from the match officials but he never changed throughout his career.

In IPL 2008, he was again held in a controversial instance when Harbhajan Singh slapped him after the conclusion of an IPL game played between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. As per the reports, the spat between the two players was resolved on the same night.

Now, on the occasion of Sreesanth’s birthday, Bhajji took to his Twitter handle and wished him in a heartwarming gesture. His message read, “Happy birthday Shenta @sreesanth36 have a good year.”The netizens were quite quick to storm Twitter with their hilarious comments over the same.

Talking about Sreesanth, the Indian pacer was banned by BCCI for getting alleged in IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal. He was handed with a lifetime ban but last year the apex cricket council reduced it to seven years. The ban was shortened as there were no proofs available about Sreesanth’s involvement in the fixing.
