Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni getting together to save Team India in the limited-overs cricket was a regular scene witnessed by the fans till 6-7 years ago. But the veteran pair repeated it at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack taking over responsibilities of building the innings at 25/3 and guided India to a mammoth score of 381/6 with an exemplary batting show as the pair put on one of the historic record stands with both of them scoring centuries. Here we look at all the stats and records set by the Yuvraj-Dhoni as a pair and individually as well.

3 – Yuvraj and Dhoni scoring centuries is only the 3rd instance of two players aged 35+ scoring centuries in the same ODI innings. Tillakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara scored centuries against Bangladesh and Scotland in 2015 World Cup.

4 – Number of centuries Yuvraj has scored against England, joint 2nd most by any player. Mahela Jayawardene and Ricky Ponting have 5 ODI centuries against England while Sanath Jayasuriya and Sangakkara also have 4 each.

7 – Number of centuries MS Dhoni has scored while batting at No.5 or lower, the joint most by any player in ODI history. Yuvraj Singh has also scored 7 centuries batting at No.5 or lower.

10 – Number of century ODI stands between the MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh pair. They are the 5th Indian pair to have 10 century ODI stands between them.

150 – Yuvraj Singh’s 150 is his highest score in ODIs and also the highest by an Indian against England in ODI cricket, breaking his own record of 138* at Rajkot in 2008. The previous highest ODI score for Yuvraj was his 139 vs Australia at Sydney in 2004.

150 – Yuvraj Singh’s 150 is the 3rd highest score for an Indian coming to bat at No.4 or lower in ODIs. Kapil Dev’s 175 in 1983 World Cup is highest. Azharuddin scored 153* at this same ground in 1998. Overall, this is the 14th score of 150+ by a player coming to bat at No.4 or lower.

150 – Number of sixes hit by Yuvraj Singh in ODI cricket for India. He became the 4th player to hit 150 ODI sixes for India. Yuvraj has a total of 152 sixes in ODIs including his 2 sixes for Asia XI.

203 – Number of sixes hit by MS Dhoni in ODI cricket, the 4th most by any player in this format. He became the 1st Indian and 5th in overall to hit 200 ODI sixes. Dhoni has hit 8 sixes for Asia XI out of his 203. His 196 sixes for India is the most by any player beating Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 195.

256 – Partnership stand between Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni in this game, the 2nd highest for the 4th wicket in ODI history. Highest is 275* by Indian pair of Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja against Zimbabwe at this very stadium in 1998.

256 – Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni partnership in this game is highest 4th wicket stand in ODI history which started at 25/3 or in a worse situation. Previous highest was 237 by Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds in 2006 vs Sri Lanka which came after Australia were 10/3.

256 – The 256-run stand between Yuvraj and Dhoni is the highest by two players aged 35+ in ODI history. The previous highest was 210 by Dilshan and Sangakkara pair in 2015 World Cup against Bangladesh in Melbourne.

1478 – Runs scored by Yuvraj Singh in ODIs against England, the most by an Indian. He went past Sachin Tendulkar who has 1455 runs against England in this format.

2011 – Last time Yuvraj Singh scored an ODI century was in 2011 World Cup against West Indies. This was also Dhoni’s first ton since his century in 2013 against Australia and also his first ever ODI century over England.

3053 – Partnership runs put together by MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh pair in ODI cricket. They became the 30th pair and 7th from India to aggregate 3000 ODI runs as a pair.

4125 – Runs scored by MS Dhoni in ODIs on Indian soil. He became the 2nd player to score 4000 ODI runs in India after Sachin Tendulkar (6976). He is the 9th player to aggregate over 4000 ODI runs in a specific country.

9076 – Runs aggregated by MS Dhoni in ODIs for India. He became the 5th player to score 9000 ODI runs for India.
