Though cricket is known as a gentlemen’s game throughout the world, women are not behind in shining in every possible aspect of the game. They are playing a great brand of cricket all across the world and continue to get better day by day. In the same sequence, the next milestone for women will be taking up the coaching aspect of the game and that too with the men’s team.

Detailing on the same aspect, former star England wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Taylor stated that there are many women out there who will be great for men’s cricket. Taylor, who has been associated with the Sussex team as a coach, has been roped in by Team Abu Dhabi as an assistant coach for the upcoming edition of the T10 league.

It will be great for her to share her valuable inputs with the men’s franchise team. The world is already calling this development ‘path breaking’ but Sarah believes that it is just the beginning of women taking one step ahead in the cricketing career.

Till last year, Chris Gayle was deemed as one of the exciting aspects of the team but fans are viewing Taylor’s appointment as another interesting thing. She herself expressed happiness in meeting Universe Boss, Chris Gayle. She added that she will be meeting him for the first time and it will be a great moment.

Sarah Taylor opens up on women taking coaching career

“I think it’s an interesting one [having a woman coach in men’s franchise cricket]. There are very good women coaches out there. I don’t think if they have aspirations to go into men’s cricket, I have no idea,” said Taylor as quoted by Cricketnext.com.

“I don’t know whether me being with Sussex is kind of people have looked to – ‘Okay! ‘She just wants to be in men’s game’ – I have no idea. But I agree, there are a lot of female coaches who would have been very good for the men’s game. But as I said, we have got Julie (Price), myself and there will be plenty more,” she added.
