'There are many wonderful things to talk' - Kevin Pietersen after Michael Vaughan's 'jealousy' comment
Vaughan had revealed that the likes of Swann, Anderson, Prior, Bresnan and Broad were jealous of Pietersen getting a huge contract in the IPL.
Kevin Pietersen is one of the best players England has ever produced. But his career was controversial and ended in that way. One of the main reasons for his fallout with his teammates and the ECB was him playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Not many had liked the idea of Pietersen featuring in the cash-rich league.
Rather Michael Vaughan, on Wednesday revealed that the likes of Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan and Matt Prior were jealous of him getting a huge contract in the IPL. These players thought that the swashbuckling batsman of his time was playing in the IPL for money according to the former England skipper but he stated that Pietersen only wanted to develop his white-ball game.
Though Vaughan spoke in his favour during his interaction, Kevin Pietersen is unhappy with the fact that these things are still talked about. It was an ugly fallout between the team and him that the star player’s international career came to an abrupt end. And Pietersen doesn’t want it to be discussed anymore.

Rather he played in the T20 leagues across the world and took up commentary after retiring from all the formats of the game. The 39-year-old came across the story of Michael Vaughan commenting about the jealousy in England team due to his IPL contract and was livid with it.
He reminded everyone that there are lot of good things to be talked about his career and also cleared that both the parties (ECB and him) have moved on. Kevin Pietersen also felt that the world needs positivity at the moment due to the ongoing pandemic and one should come out speaking good things.
