Sir Donald Bradman holds a special place in every cricketer’s life who has played in the late 1900s. Mike Haysman is one of those cricketers who has played a lot of first-class cricket but never could make it big at the helm. Haysman played for many first-class teams before turning into a professional TV presenter. The Adelaide-born cricketer represented South Australia, Leicestershire, and Northern Transvaal. Mike played for over 13 years as a cricketer but turned a commentator.

The Australian-born former cricketer is now based in Los Angeles. He is currently working for SuperSport and travels around the world. Haysman is also an Indian Premier League presenter. He has commentated in many games and has been associated with the Caribbean Premier League as well.

Mike recently tweeted a photo of Sir Don Bradman which had Don’s autograph on it. The tweet had another photo of a letter Bradman wrote to Haysman. He tweeted this because, on this day in 2001, cricket lost Sir Don Bradman. He will always be the best batsman ever to grace the game. There will be many batsmen counted in the league of legends but all of them are at one point compared to Sir Donald Bradman.

Haysman in his tweet said that the letter that he wrote to him and the signed photo of Donald Bradman will always be on the shelf of pride in his office. The tweet said, “Sir Donald Bradman passed away on this day in 2001. This letter he wrote to me and signed poster occupy pride of place in my office. #TheDon.”

The letter was written to him in 1994. The fact that the 55-year-old holds on to it 23 years later as well is enough for us to tell how much it matters to him. He might have not played international cricket but he has surely won hearts of the fans with this tweet.
