New Zealand’s all-rounder Jimmy Neesham is an entertaining character on and off the cricket field. The 30-year-old is quite active on his social media handles and is known for taking cheeky and funny digs at his teammates. This was it was the Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Burmah, who became a victim of Neesham’s teasing.

Neesham and Bumrah interacted with each other during the now-suspended 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they both the cricketers played for the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the T20 extravaganza. While Bumrah kick-started his IPL career in 2013 with Mumbai Indians, Jimmy joined the franchise this year only as he was picked by MI during IPL 2021 auction for INR 50 lakhs.

On May 6, Thursday, Jaspirt Bumrah took to his official Instagram handle to wish his newly-wedded wife Sanjana Ganesan on her first birthday after their wedding. The pace sensation penned down a beautiful and flattering note for his wife on her special day. Posting an adorable picture with Sanjana, Bumrah wrote, “Happy birthday to the person who steals my heart every day. You’re my person, I love you,”

Neesham trolls Jasprit Bumrah’s caption written for wife Sanjana Ganesan

Jasprit and Sanjana entered marital bliss in March 2021 as they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa. It was an extremely private affair as the fans got to know about the bride of the Indian speedster only when he announced it via social media after the wedding.  The Instagram post by the right-arm pacer left the netizens swooning over the couple.

The post quickly went viral on social media and fans showered abundant love in the form of likes and comments. Meanwhile, the New Zealand all-rounder Neesham took this opportunity to troll his MI teammate. The 30-year-old made fun of the caption written by the 27-year-old as the New Zealand all-rounder wrote: “Thought you were talking about @trrrent_ for a minute”, referring to their MI teammate Trent Boult.

Trent Boult started his association with Mumbai Indians in 2020 after he was traded by Delhi Capitals (DC). Both Bumrah and Boult were considered as one of the most lethal pace duos in IPL 2020 and played a major role in helping MI win their fifth title.
