India scored a mammoth 404/5 in their 50 overs.

Sri Lanka could only muster 251/10 with Captain Angelo Mathews top scoring with 75 runs. India won by 153 runs.

Desmond Haynes carried his bat through the innings with 138* to his name against England in 1989 Nehru Cup. He played 164 balls for his score. West Indies scored 265/5 in 50 overs with Richie Richardson scoring 44. 
England was dismissed for 239 runs thanks to Malcolm Marshall’s 4/33 in 10 overs giving West Indies the win by 26 runs.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 160* against India at Hobart facing 165 balls in total.  Sri Lanka made 320 runs with Kumar Sangakkara scoring 105. But their score was not enough since India overhauled the total in just 36.4 overs to remain in contention for the final of the tri-series. Virat Kohli made 133* in 86 balls to take India to victory.

Chris Gayle took 165 balls to score his 132* while chasing 285 runs against England at Lord’s. England scored 285 with centuries from Andre Strauss (100) and Andrew Flintoff (123). West Indies chased the match successfully with Gayle’s century and 89 from Ramnaresh Sarwan. 
7. Matthew Hayden (Australia) 166

Matthew Hayden scored the then highest ODI score for Australia with his 181* off 166 balls.  Australia scored a massive 347/5 in their 50 overs. But it didn’t seem enough for New Zealand as they chased it down with one wicket and 3 balls remaining. Craig McMillan (117) and Brendon McCullum (86) were the main contributors to Kiwi win. 
6. Hamilton Masakadza (Zimbabwe) 167

Hamilton Masakadza remained not out for 178* playing 167 balls against Kenya. Zimbabwe scored 329/2 runs with Forster Mutizwa (55) and Brendan Taylor (52) making significant contributions. Kenya could only muster 189 runs to lose the match by 142 runs.

West Indian fast bowlers stifled Pakistani batsmen on Kingston pitch for just 223 runs. Opener Aamer Sohail could muster 87 runs from 167 balls played. West Indies made 224 thanks to 114 from Brian Lara, though Sohail returned to pick up 3/43 in 9 overs. West Indies won by 4 wickets and 6 overs remaining. 
4. Javed Miandad (Pakistan) 167

West Indies stopped Pakistani batsmen for just 140 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs on a bouncy Perth pitch. Ian Bishop took 5/27 in his 10 overs while Javed Miandad slogged for 167 balls making 63* runs. West Indies won the match easily with Richie Richardson amking 50* and Desmond Haynes making 33. They won the match by 7 wickets and 13 overs remaining.

India batted first against Australia at Hobart and made 175 runs with Sanjay Manjrekar and Sachin Tendulkar both scoring 57 runs. Craig McDermott took 3/19 in his 10 overs. Australian reply was built around David Boon’s 102 * from a leisurely 168 balls, with Dean Jones scoring 48 from 99 balls. Australia won by 8 wickets in hand.

Scotland met Canada in the ICC World Cricket League Division 1 match in Nairobi. Scotland made 276 runs batting first thanks to Fraser Watts (70) and Gavin Hamilton’s 64 runs. The Canadian chase was centered on Ashish Bagai’s 137* with Ashif Mulla making 48 runs. Ashish Bagai took 172 balls for his 137* but lost the match by just 7 runs.

Rohit Sharma demolished Sri Lanka on a flat Kolkata wicket with a record shattering 264 in 173 balls. He not only set the world record for highest ODI score by a batsman, most fours, most runs by boundaries and a second double hundred by a batsman in ODIs, but also played the most balls in one 50 over ODI match. India scored a mammoth 404/5 in their 50 overs.
Sri Lanka could only muster 251/10 with Captain Angelo Mathews top scoring with 75 runs. India won by 153 runs.
