Sri Lankan opener Tillakaratne Dilshan just hit his 4th ton in his World Cup career against Scotland on 11th March 2015. Dilshan also hit his highest ODI score of 161* during this World Cup. A prolific opener, wicketkeeper and a good off spinner, Dilshan has been one of the best serving players for the Sri Lankan cricket since his debut in 1999.

The former Sri Lankan Captain has 4 hundreds in World Cup tournaments. He made his World Cup debut in 1999 and since then has been a constant presence in the Sri Lankan side. He also led Sri Lanka to the finals of the 2007 edition. Jayawardene is one of the few batsmen to hit a century in a World Cup final, he did it in the 2011 final against India, but it went in vain as India defeated Sri Lanka to win the trophy.

The younger Waugh for the most part played under the shadow of his brother, Steve Waugh. A leader of his own league, Ricky Ponting is the first Australian Captain to lead them to two successive world cups. The Sri Lankan veteran became the first batsman in the history of World Cup cricket to hit 4 consecutive centuries in 4 matches. He started with 7 runs against the Afghan team, but scores of 105* and 117* against Bangladesh and England and 104 against Australia gave him 3 centuries in 3 matches. And with a 124 against Scotland on 11th March, he became the first batsman in ODIs to hit 4 centuries in 4 matches and first in World Cup to hit 4 centuries in a single edition.  He had also hit a century against New Zealand in the 2011 World Cup match in Mumbai.
