Saeed Anwar scored the then highest score in ODIs of 194 hitting 22 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. Anwar’s record stayed on till 2010 along with Charles Coventary’s 194* until Sachin scored 200*. 
Pakistan scored 327 and India lost by 35 runs despite Rahul Dravid’s 107.

Sanath Jayasuriya scored 157 runs against Netherlands in Sri Lanka’s record score of 443/9. He hit 24 fours and 1 six in his innings. Sri Lanka won the match by 195 runs, dismissing Netherlands for 248 runs.

Virender Sehwag scored the 2nd double hundred in ODIs and the highest score until Rohit Sharma’s 264. Sehwag’s 219 contained a then record equaling 25 fours and 7 sixes. India scored 418, their highest ODI score and won the match by 153 runs bowling West Indies out for 265 runs. 

2. Sachin Tendulkar (Ind)-25 vs South Africa Gwalior 2010

Sachin Tendulkar scored the 1st ever 200 in ODIs against a full strength South Africa side. He scored 200* in Gwalior’s Captain Roop Singh Stadium against Dale Steyn, Charl Langeveldt and Wayne Parnell. 
Sachin hit 25 fours and 3 sixes in his history creating innings. India scored 401 and won the match by 153 runs when South Africa was dismissed for 248 runs.

Rohit Sharma not only broke the record of the highest score in ODIs, he shattered the score by making an astonishing 264 runs in 173 balls. He hit 9 sixes and a world record 33 fours in his history making innings.
