3. Daryll Cullinan – 275* v New Zealand at Auckland (27 February 1999):

Daryll Cullinan, the youngest South African to score a first-class century at the age of 16, notched up a classy unbeaten 275 against New Zealand. He struck 27 boundaries and 2 sixes. This was his highest Test score which was a South African record at the time (as of 2012 the highest score by a South African in Tests is 311 not out by Hashim Amla versus England).
