Well, this is a pretty old one! Aubrey Faulkner, one of the best all-rounder’s from South Africa, scored the first double hundred in the Test Match history for his side at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia in 1910/11. The Aussies still managed to clinch the game by a margin of 90 runs as Faulkner’s incredulous effort went in vain.
