Wicket keeping is one of the most tiring jobs on a cricket field. One has to have prime fitness both mentally and physically to concentrate on every ball. Keepers are the only players on the field to be involved in the game for every minute of it. they also require terrific reflexes for taking catches or making stumpings.

The West Indian wicket keeper Jeff Dujon kept to the best bowling unit of that time and collected a total of 204 victims during his 10 year career. The West Indies had 4- 5 terrific fast bowlers and had only one spinner in their time, Viv Richards, hence Dujon has 183 catches and just 21 stumpings to his name.

Member of the 1996 World cup winning team, Romesh Kaluwitharana or Kalu was the perfect foil for Sanath Jayasuriya opening the innings together. Kaluwitharana also kept to the best spinner of that time Mutthiah Muralitharan in his formative years. He has a total of 206 victims in 189 matches.

Pakistani wicket keeper in 1996 and 2003 world cups, Rashid Latif also captained Pakistan for 2 years. Latif was a dangerous lower order batsman capable of hitting any bowler out of the ground in death overs. Latif took 182 catches and 38 stumpings and a total of 220 victims.

Pakistan’s 1992 World cup winning wicket keeper Moin Khan was a chirpy little fellow behind the stumps. Known for his “come on Saqi” call used to encourage Saqlain Mushtaq, Moin was an expert in getting under batsman’s skin via bantering. He was also very dangerous lower order batsman. He played a blistering knock against Australia in 1999 World cup group game which Pakistan won.  Moin retired in 2004 with 287 victims including 214 catches and 73 stumpings.

Mark Boucher served South African cricket with distinction before a freak injury to the cornea of his eye ended his career just 1 short of a 1000 dismissals in international cricket. Boucher debuted in 1998 to replace Dave Richardson. Since then he contributed not only from behind the stumps but also with his bat winning South Africa matches single handedly. He retired from ODI cricket with 424 victims to his name.

Since his debut in 2000 he kept to the best off spinner in Muttaih Muralitharan for most of his career successfully. Now as he nears the end of his ODI career, he will look to complete the century of stumpings.

The West Indies had 4- 5 terrific fast bowlers and had only one spinner in their time, Viv Richards, hence Dujon has 183 catches and just 21 stumpings to his name.

Member of the 1996 World cup winning team, Romesh Kaluwitharana or Kalu was the perfect foil for Sanath Jayasuriya opening the innings together. Kaluwitharana also kept to the best spinner of that time Mutthiah Muralitharan in his formative years. 
He has a total of 206 victims in 189 matches.
8. Rashid Latif (Pak 1992-2003)

Pakistani wicket keeper in 1996 and 2003 world cups, Rashid Latif also captained Pakistan for 2 years. Latif was a dangerous lower order batsman capable of hitting any bowler out of the ground in death overs. Latif took 182 catches and 38 stumpings and a total of 220 victims.
7. Ian Healy (Aus 1988-1997)

Ian Healy was Australia’s number 1 choice keeper for decade before being replace by Adam Gilchrist.  Though he didn’t win any World cup with Australia, he played in the 1996 World cup semifinal. He kept to Shane Warne and formed a wonderful partnership with him. Healy retired from the ODI game in 1997 with 233 victims.
6. Brendon McCullum (NZ 2002-2015)

Brendon McCullum broke on to the New Zealand scene as a replacement keeper to Adam Parore.  His batting was the biggest plus for Kiwis. Thought he has given up keeping in the last 2 years, he still has 242 victims with 227 catches and 15 stumpings.
5. Moin Khan (Pak 1990-2004)

Pakistan’s 1992 World cup winning wicket keeper Moin Khan was a chirpy little fellow behind the stumps. Known for his “come on Saqi” call used to encourage Saqlain Mushtaq, Moin was an expert in getting under batsman’s skin via bantering. 
He was also very dangerous lower order batsman. He played a blistering knock against Australia in 1999 World cup group game which Pakistan won.  Moin retired in 2004 with 287 victims including 214 catches and 73 stumpings.
4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Asia/India 2004-2015)

The current Indian Captain was known for his steel gloves when he debuted for India. But he transformed himself into one of the best wicketkeepers in ODI history. Known for his lightning quick stumpings, <a title="10 best quotes on MS Dhoni’s captaincy by Cricketing Legends" href="http://www.crictracker.com/10-best-quotes-on-ms-dhonis-captaincy-by-cricketing-legends/">Dhoni</a> was also comfortable in keeping to the spin of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble. He has the second most stumpings in ODIS.

Mark Boucher served South African cricket with distinction before a freak injury to the cornea of his eye ended his career just 1 short of a 1000 dismissals in international cricket. Boucher debuted in 1998 to replace Dave Richardson. 
Since then he contributed not only from behind the stumps but also with his bat winning South Africa matches single handedly. He retired from ODI cricket with 424 victims to his name.
2. Adam Gilchrist (Aus/ICC 1996-2008)

Dashing Aussie opener Adam Gilchrist took 417 catches and made 55 stumpings for a total of 472 victims in ODI matches. 
Gilchrist kept to Shane Warne who is considered the greatest bowler of all time with comparative ease and his ability to open the batting and destroy any attack with his bat, gave Australia an option to play an extra batsman or a bowler.

Former Sri Lankan Captain Kumar Sangakkara leads the table for most dismissals in ODI cricket with 482 victims. He has taken 383 catches and has made 99 stumpings in 360 matches. 
Since his debut in 2000 he kept to the best off spinner in Muttaih Muralitharan for most of his career successfully. Now as he nears the end of his ODI career, he will look to complete the century of stumpings.
