#2 Allan Border

A sublime middle-order batsman, Allan Border was someone who could stick to the crease whenever Australia needed his service. In his career span of long 15 years, Border was the most successful Aussie batsman until the late 90s era.
Border smashed more than 17500 international cricket runs. He led his team to 1987 world cup win and then Ashes series as well in 1989. Border’s ability to play consistently well in the middle order could have been an asset to any T20 team.
Not to forget his useful slow-left-arm bowling, though rarely used in his career, might have been lethal in T20s.
