Top 5 Extended Losing Streaks in IPL: Apart from a few teams like the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kings XI Punjab (KIXP), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) the other teams (franchises) have found it difficult to get going in the IPL. The format of the game and tournament does not just work for you if you have a good squad, for a team to click together and succeed all the various aspects need to fall in place. Since T20 is a fast moving format it does not give you multiple opportunities, there are only a few coming your way and it is important to grab and cash on them. The teams which are yet to get acquainted to the IPL, or were not able to control the proceedings at some point in the past form the Top 5 Extended Losing Streaks in IPL: 5. A few teams suffered due to it and KKR seemed to be hit the hardest. They lost 9 matches in the 2nd edition of IPL even after having players like Sourav Ganguly, Chris Gayle and Yusuf Pathan in their squad. 3. Pune Warriors (9 losses): 2012-13 PW lost 9 matches on a trot in the 2 seasons 2012-2013 combined.(Photo Source:BCCI) This was the second season for this team in the league and many expected them to come good after a forgettable start to their IPL journey. But misfortunes and failures continued for the PW despite changing leadership, inducing Sourav Ganguly the result not only remained negative but deteriorated even further and saw them scale a new low as they lost 9 matches on a trot in the 2 seasons 2012-2013 combined. 2. Pune Warriors India (11 losses):2013 PW managed was 11 loses in 2013 on a trot.(Photo Source:BCCI) Pune Warriors lived a really short while in the Indian domestic league as they could not fulfill a few conditions laid down by the BCCI and is a thing of the past now. PW played the IPL for 3 years and all they managed was recording losing streaks. The management had picked a team which could easily make for a winning combination; Yuvraj Singh, Steve Smith and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were some of the stars they possessed but all PW managed was 11 loses in 2013 on a trot. 1. But have never been able to translate it on the field. Last two seasons particularly have been really poor for this team from the capital. By virtues of it DD is now the joint topper in this list with most loses at a stretch 11, the streak is still unbroken as they have not been able to win a single game in the last eleven outings carrying it forward in 2015 from where they had left in 2014 and with the form they are showing at the moment, look good enough to get crowned as the team with the most extended losing streaks in IPL.
