He was a regular member of the Australian team in the 1980’s. Ian Healy was the back bone of the Australian team which was not at its best during that time. At the time of his retirement he held the record for the most number of dismissals by a wicket-keeper. He was a useful lower order batsman who could score useful runs for his team.
