India vs Bangladesh: BCCI announces the squads for the T20I and Test series

  • The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s T20I squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.
  • As expected, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube have earned call-ups with this being the comeback for the former after a four-year-long wait.

World’s largest cricket stadium to be inaugurated in India; World XI vs India T20 likely to be the first game

  • The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia is currently the largest cricket ground in the world with a seating capacity of 100,024, making it the 10th largest stadium in the world and has hosted the 1956 Summer Olympics, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and two Cricket World Cups: 1992 and 2015.
  • However, come next year, the MCG will have to relinquish its crown as the largest cricket stadium to the newly constructed Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad.
