Yuvraj Singh fails the yo-yo fitness test ahead of NZ ODI series

  • Yuvraj Singh who is currently ousted from the national side has failed the all-important Yo-Yo fitness test on Wednesday. The hopes of his international comeback have been dealt a setback now ahead of the limited overs series against New Zealand. The 35-year-old was hopeful of clearing the test as he had trained hard for the day but could not meet the benchmark set to be part of the Indian team.

New Balance terminates contract with Ben Stokes

  • New Balance, the sportswear company and also the kit sponsors of England team, has decided to end its association with England all-rounder Ben Stokes which is of 200,000 Euros deal.
  • New Balance released a statement on Wednesday which read, “”New Balance does not condone behaviour by our global athletes that does not match our brand culture and values, and therefore we have ended our relationship with Ben Stokes, effective October 11, 2017. We will not provide further comment.”

  • Australia all-rounder Moises Henriques has expressed his delight over the kind response from Assam people after the unfortunate incident on Tuesday. The team bus of the visitors was attacked by throwing a rock following their dominating win over the Men in Blue in the second T20I. Both the teams now will lock horns for one final time on this tour in the decider in Hyderabad on Friday (October 13).

Seven people arrested while black marketing the match tickets in Hyderabad

  • Police have arrested a gang of seven persons in Hyderabad during black marketing the tickets of the third T20I on Friday. India and Australia are set to lock horns for one final time in the decider of the T20 International series.   • An interesting battle for the top spot in the ICC ODI Team Rankings could be in the offing as South Africa can displace India if they win the upcoming series against Bangladesh by a 3-0 margin.
