Australia and India are currently involved in the exhilarating Pink Ball Test at the Adelaide Oval. After opting to bat first, the visitors managed to post 244 runs in the first innings. They lost their last seven wickets for just 56 runs with only Virat Kohli (74) scoring a half-century. The Virat Kohli-led side needed to bowl well on the second day after getting bowled out early in the first session and they did just that.
Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah literally didn’t give an inch to the Aussie openers Matthew Wade and Joe Burns. Australia got their first run of the innings in the fifth over which indicates how good they were with the new ball. Bumrah struck to remove Wade which brought Marnus Labuschagne in the middle.
With Mohammed Shami and Bumrah bowling extremely well, India kept a lid on the run-scoring. It increased the pressure on the batsmen and Shami also induced a false pull shot off Labuschagne. But Bumrah misjudged the catch and as it seemed, he was more worried about the boundary line. In the process, he ended up dropping a simple catch.
Prithvi Shaw drops a dolly
This was not it as Marnus Labuschagne survived yet another chance later. This time Jasprit Bumrah was the bowler and India’s poor fielding continued in the middle. The bouncer ploy against the batsman once again worked and this time the edge didn’t go boundary either with Prithvi Shaw under the ball to dismiss him. But much to Australia’s delight, he dropped one of the easiest catch ever.
Two reprieves to Australia’s second-best batsman has clearly left the fans back in India fuming as they slammed the team for their poor fielding. While Australia caught almost everything that came their way, the visitors are being kind to the opposition when it comes to the catching. The bowlers have been simply superb so far with the ball and they would expect the fielders to support them.

Why is Prithvi Shaw in the playing XI🤔🤔?? Got bowled for a duck 🏏🏏 and dropped a simple catch..Either Gill or Rahul should have been in the team.#AUSvIND #PrithviShaw

Indian team should give a tribute to Prithvi Shaw by dropping him off for the catch drop of Labuschagne.

Indian fielding has been off guard this entire session. serious retrospection needed in this department. Is It lack of practice due to pandemic OR anything to do with grip of the ball.@BCCI https://t.co/wo7OdkjfGL

This is one of poor Indian teams in terms of catching – slips and outfield!
Even the fielding isn't the best. There are many average and poor fielders.#AUSvIND
