Twitter lauds MS Dhoni's lightning quick stumping to send back Liton Das

Team India has made a stunning comeback in the ongoing final against Bangladesh in Dubai. The way Liton Das was batting in the first 15 overs, one felt that it would be a repeat of the Champions Trophy final. But the experience of playing big matches has worked for them big time and it would not be wrong to say that MS Dhoni’s brilliance has also played its part in it. Moreover, the way he stumped the centurion Liton Das was absolutely magnificent while batting on 121. After losing a plethora of wickets, Bangladesh needed their set batsman in Das to play all the fifty overs and he found an able partner in Soumya Sarkar who took his time early on. Though the going was slow, the duo stopped the wicket-falling spree. Dhoni’s superb work Everyone was feeling that they will bring back Bangladesh back in the game with a brilliant partnership. But the destiny had something else in store for the Tigers in the 41st over. Kuldeep Yadav bowled a googly outside the off stump and it was so slow that the batsman had to reach out for it. In the process, Liton lost his footing in the crease and missed the ball as well. The moment he missed the ball, MS Dhoni gathered it and disturbed the stumps in a split second as the decision was taken to the third umpire. It was a superb work from the veteran as he didn’t waste any time in taking out the woodwork. The third umpire Rod Tucker took his time in giving his decision as it was very very tight before eventually deciding that the batsman’s foot was not in the crease. Meanwhile, Twitterati was in awe of MS Dhoni for his brilliant wicketkeeping as he also became the first wicketkeeper to affect 10 stumpings in the Asia Cup history.
